“He’s a Martian who lands on earth. Simply impressive! He’s of a level the Italian championship has been lacking so far.” – Gazzetta dello Sport
The Italians can’t get out of the swarm when it comes to their new superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese changed from Real Madrid to Juventus Turin last summer for 117 million euros.
The Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” now reveals how the Ronaldo poker really went, which teams knocked on CR7’s door and why he chose Juve in the end.
Ronaldo had therefore already decided months before his final Real farewell to a change. Three reasons are said to have been decisive. Ronaldo had hoped that Real Madrid would pay its debts to the tax office (probably just under 20 million euros) – but that didn’t happen.
He is also said to have been bothered by collecting less than two other top stars: “It’s disrespectful that as a Balloon d’Or winner I earn less than Messi and Neymar. It’s not about money, it’s about status, about respect,” Ronaldo is said to have been angry. The atmosphere in the cabin was therefore unbearable. Former coach Zinedine Zidane is said to have told the bosses: “Solve the problem with Cristiano as you like, because that’s the only thing he talks about in the cabin. That’s unbearable.” But real boss Florentino Perez apparently wasn’t prepared to pay more than 25 million euros net a year.
The fact that Alfredo di Stefano is still regarded as the best player in Real history has also been a problem for the 33-year-old, according to the newspaper.
After Real President Perez heard about his star striker’s plans to change, he demanded that Ronaldo find a club that would pay 100 million euros. Wink Slots is an online casino site that offers plenty of gaming services to players from all around the world.
According to the Spanish newspaper, it was AC Milan who first showed interest in the Portuguese international.
Milan’s Chinese investor Li Yonghong was willing to put 150 million on the table. But Ronaldo decided against Milan, probably because the Rossoneri had not been able to celebrate much success in recent years and were not among the top clubs in Europe.

Manchester United are said to have been the first club to make an official request to Real Madrid.
But the offer was too small – the deal did not materialise.
Paris Saint-Germain also showed interest, but apparently made his offer subject to a condition. The Ligue1 club were only going to sign Ronaldo on the last day of the transfer window, so Real could not have bought Neymar or Kylian Mbappé from the money. That had been too risky for Ronaldo – PSG also got a basket.
Ronaldo himself would then have been the one who had considered Juventus Turin as a possible target.
The fact that Juve wanted to sign the exceptional player when he was playing for Sporting (2002 to 2003) also played a role. Ronaldo was also convinced that Juve could win the Champions League with him. And the Italians also wanted to sign him – and did so in the end.
